Kasper von Vetters Alt-Heidelberger Brauhaus Silvester 1987 kredenzt, als er eine Wette mit Herrn Vetter und dem Vetter-Team abschloss, indem er beweisen wollte, dass er das stärkste Bier der Welt brauen kann. Mit seinem »Vetter 33« bot er ein Starkbier als Hausmarke mit einer Stammwürze, die zwischen 33,19 Gewichts- und 37,91 Volumenprozent lag und sind daher 1994 im Guinnessbuch der Rekorde verzeichnet.

Rough Translation: According to the 1994 Guinness Book of World Records Cousin 33 holds the title as the strongest beer in the world. Brewing master Rudolf J. Kasper of the Vetters brewing house placed a bet in 1987 with Mr. Vetter and the brewing team that he could brew the strongest beer in the word. The result was Cousin 33 which lay between 33.19 by weight and 37.91 % by volume during the brewing process with a final 11 % by volume when it is ready for drinking. Currently the strongest beer commercially available is Sam Adams Utopias, which is brewed by the Boston Beer Company, Massachusetts, USA and had an alcohol volume of 25% when tested on August 2, 2005.
